Dragons Lost

                                        Chapter 1: Mothers Love 

 

                        Roars filled the sky in jubilee, no human could understand what they meant yet to all whose breath turned the sky red and whose wings block the sun, the roars were perfectly clear "the eggs are here!".

 The forest was turned into a celebration.

Layed inside the forest sat a large, damp cave. The roars continued inside and a burst of flame broke through the center of the cavern. The sent of ash and sulfur filled the air, " Mostan, the eggs are here!" barked a warm voice hidden inside the darkness. A large pair of bright yellow eyes flickered inside the cavern.

 " My dear Veelen, do not scare our young-ones" a bright red dragon entered the cavern.

Two great horns layed top the great dragons head while crimson frills lined his neck. The giant male lit a torch hanging on the stone wall, the light filled the cave and revealed a small sized female dragon laying atop a hot bed of coals.

 Icy blue the dragoness was, with a thick mane of coarse white hair ran down her spine.

"Mostan come look at our beautiful eggs!"cried the dragoness. Mostan the bright red dragon came quickly to his mates side, Veelen lifted her great belly and inside a nest made of flaming coals sat a pair of light purple eggs.

" Oh my lovely Veelen what beautiful younglings we shall have!"

" Mostan remember that beauty is on the inside"

"It never hurts to cute on the outside"

Both dragons laughed then nuzzled sweetly. Mostan layed his tail around Veelens tail. 

"I love you Veelen" "I love you Mostan" .......................................................
