Dragons Lost

                                                        Chapter 2: Gone

              "Mostan its sunset!" cried Veelen. Her icy blue scales glowed in the torch light as she uncurled herself around the coal-bed. A loud murmur was herd and Mostan appeared with a large deer inside his mouth. Mostan spat the deer onto the floor " Sorry darling I was out hunting for you, but we can go admire the sunset now". Veelen grinned happily for she loved watching sunsets with Mostan by her side.

The happy pair licked each other then padded towards the door, when suddenly Veelen stoped and looked back.

"Mostan"

"Yes darling?"

"Will they be ok without us?"

" We will only leave for a minuet darling"

" You sure Mostan?"

" Yes Veelen, now come enjoy the sunset with me"

The great mother made a slight squeak then slowly walked to the front of the cave with Mostan. The bright orange sun fell into the earth and both dragons sighed.

 " It feels like only yesterday we newlyweds Veelen"

" Yes but I still have the 15 year old chip on my claw of when the ring was to tight"

Both grinned and fire burst from both the dragons jaws. When the fire disappeared Veelen hurried into the den. Mostan sat to watch the last drop of sunlight vanished into the darkness. A high pitch scream ran from inside the cavern. Mostan lept at full speed towards Veelen. " Whats wrong?!?!" Veelen was throwing piles of ash from the coal-bed across the cave.

"gone...gone!...Gone! GONE!!!!" She roar with great anger and blew fire across the cave.

"GONE?!?!!? HOW COULD OUR EGGS BE GONE!?!!?!?! Both dragons frantically scanned the cavern for their missing eggs, yet to their great sadness the eggs truly where gone..............
